Melissa's hits from 1980 to 1985. Whenever I Call You Friend and Come In From The Rain were songs Melissa co-wrote but other people had hits with them. Kenny Loggins had a huge hit with Whenever I Call You Friend but he recorded it with Stevie Nicks. Come In From The Rain is a signature song of Melissa's yet she never hit the charts with it. Captain and Tenille had a hit with it in the late 1970's. Melissa recorded it on an album called Better Days and Happy Endings and then sang a different version on her smash 1982 Hey Ricky album.
The clips include the pop years for Melissa.

I remember when I first heard the song from Ice Castles, my eyes hurt from the tears, my heart so heavy. I thinked God for bringing to my ears such a beautiful song sung by such a talented singer. Thanks for posting this.

That picture is on her website...I believe they just performed together but didn't record anything. It would have been great to see them together.

someone must have read your post for they posted "Lovers After All". I told them to add Peabo's name and they deleted my request and hadn't added it when I looked last. Having a duet without both of the artist's names seems foolish. Perhaps a racists?
