I saw the original director's print at the UCLA film archives. It was a pristine print. This is one of the best westerns ever made. It has two really great "ride-ins": the opening credits and the ride into Blanco Canyon at the end for the big shoot-out. The ending is like Don Quixote with Greg and his gal riding off with Sancho Panza in tow.
