I'm not one for conspiracy theories but this...? This IS something I noticed. Black wives get NO LOVE on a national level, from the media. WHY is this?

We tend to forget the pioneer women of TV and movies who've never latched on to WM: Bernadette Stanis, Marla Gibbs,Felicia Rashad(Boy, you should see the dried-up mummy her ex-husband has saddled himself with. He left her for that??? Go figure!!!), lovely Belinda Tolbert of "The Jeffersons"; Regina King, Kim Coles and Erika Alexander. Alaina Reed Hall(whose first husband was white), Lisa Bonet, Jazmine Guy, Dawn Lewis and ever-cute Tempest Bledsoe, etc. These women love their BM!

As for black women leaving BM for whites. Where is this happening? Certainly not in Hollywood, nor the majority of BW in the general population. Eva Longoria, Mariah Carey, Melba Moore, Stephanie Mills(believe it; she had WB laisons early in her career, with regretable consequences to her).Jenny Lopez(her WHOLE success was the result SOLEY of BM,of which she has bombed ever since up to this moment). The rest that you see are merely survivors in that biz, e.g. they must latch onto whitey to eat!

This was a quote by Eriq LaSalle from ER. I am so proud of that brotha. This video reminds me of that situation. LaSalle's character had tumultuous one-dimensional relationships with Black women. The writers gave him a white love-interest and it was, as LaSalle inferred, functional and well-explored. This prompted the Black actor to ask the writers to end the interracial relationship, which they did. Deep, huh? That's the definition of My People, My Priority.

Understand, I don't hate Halle at all. But I don't sympathize with her either. She knows what she's doing. So does her sponsors. She is THE perffered image WM have of BW in Showbiz. Okay, let's set the record straight: Lisa Bonet is MESSED-UP!She's also Jewish(not neccessary a redunancy). I was never impressed by her in her "Cosby" debut, and at the time rightly figured the producers put her in for the "lighter touch".I was blown away by Tempest because she more fit the bill as an a normal, arkward, cute pre-teen than Bonet's loopy self.
