@meltdownman1 hey PADI makes a white balance card with the grey on the back. I do a lot of video in the 100 to 200 ft depth range. When I get to the depth I set a custom white balance. also, when we're doing wreck penetration I re-white balance in every room. it's a bit of a pain, but it's the best way to get the best shots. either way the card is very helpful for underwater photos and videos
This is really helpful. Well done. We need someone to do an unboxing or review of our new digital white balance/ color correction / exposure product - works with FCP, Premiere, Aperture, Las Vegas, Lightroom, video, in-camera custom WB, DSLR, etc. See us at digitalimageflow(dot)com - we will ship you a free one if you are interested...check the listing for new product (DKC-Pro) on our home page and contact us ..thanks!
Has anyone applied/used a gray card for underwater photography? I am interested in learning this area of photography but the loss of the different color spectrums as you go deeper is tricky. Will using a gray card with light strobes work for both far and distant subjects? If so, any advice on how to best use them? I know they make some gray cards out of material that can be taken in the water but have not seen any training material on such a subject.
@bt465 I justset the white balance for movie mode and it's exactly the same as he has it in the tutorial, dunno if this helps as your comment was made a week ago.
Guuuuuuy yor using two stands and two flipping clamps to hold the grey card.... :o like duuuude yor sooooo fancy ... I am soooooo shocked , like u actually set that place yor card and do yor white or maybe u don't even set it up maybe those are just dedicated to hold yor grey card .... :0 right u rather spend yor time shooting

If you remotely consider yourself more than a point and shoot idiot, you should always shoot in RAW.
