This is just beautiful! What a collection you have and thanks for all your work and generosity for sharing this with people like me who havent heard them before. The high bit-rate is great through my headphones. Your cartridge is worth the money!:) ~Peace

Thank you Rob. I never thought I'd spend so much on a cart, but I agree that the results have made it well worth it. The main reason I'm constantly upgrading my equipment is to make better Youtube videos. If you hear any of my older vids (especially the stuff from 2 years ago) you'll hear a staggering difference in quality.

Then I can only put it to the quality in my computers' speakers. I have so many of these 45's myself and have listened to so many programs over the years that I am very in-tune with that r&b feel. Now, I am surprised that it sounded off. somethings wrong in the tranlation here. I'll have to get 'round to hearing some of your other postings.
And congratulations on your collection. It sounds magnificent.

Thanks for the kind words. Have you tried toggling bitrate settings? I used to encode in 480p, and Youtube's automatic playback setting of 360 didn't sound so bad. Now my vids sound a lot better when you play them at high bitrates, but I guess Youtube is using compression when they encode the low bitrate versions. The toggle button is at the bottom of the vid.. You should see a "360p" right now. Click it to see your other options.

The lead voice is nicely upfront. But, I suspect the source here, probably a CD, has lost much. The harmonies are suppressed, and the band/orchestra ditto. I'll bet the original vinyl sonds better & warmer & really shows the talent that was the Clovers & their studio musicians. That soulful, human R&B feel isn't there.
Now you can "SIGH" about a lost sound.

Doowopfan, this audio is directly from the 45 pictured. Listen closely, especially towards the end of the video and you'll hear the surface noise. It's an extremely clean Columbia press, and I am using one of the best Moving Magnet cartridges on the market. For the record (no pun intended), all of my postings are from the record in the picture. The only exceptions are when I don't show a record in the picture. I also own every single record I post.
