Stellar performance! I almost want to buy me a bass to play BTBAM songs. Shouldn't be too hard switching from guitar to bass, would it? Either way, awesome job.

@metallicacdc Like most transitions, there are pros and cons. You def have less strings to deal with (in general), though I might fit the exception. But finger strength is key and what you'll be developing, and in both hands; especially if you aren't playing with a pick. But it actually improves your guitar playing: example, the harder-to-finger jazz chords (on a guitar) get easier after playing bass. Actually, the advantage of six tring (bass) range is that the jazz chords sound even better too

@alolfan1 I actually don't use a pick when I play guitar, so that might help the transition if I do decide to do so. And you mentioned a six-string bass--are the two extra strings lower or higher? (The video has low lighting, but it looks to me that it's higher.) My finger strength is still a little on the weak side as I play electric guitar, but I'd expect to build it over time if I decided to pick up a bass. Anyways, thanks for the reply!

@metallicacdc Both actually. There's the low B and the high C. However, If you plan on playing BTBAM, know that they play in a D flat standard (three half steps [frets] down from E standard). As well, I commend anyone brave enough to tackle Dan Brigg's bass lines. Even after years, I'm still dumbfounded by the speed, proficiency, and articulacy of songs like, for example, Roboturner; aswell, with thorough knowledge of melody/counter-phrasing: ex. Viridian, Mirrors, Mordecai, Backwards Marathon

@alolfan1 Hmm. I know they also play 3 half-steps down on guitar. Still, I think the hardest part about switching (assuming I do, of course) would be the different strumming style and finger strength that I'll need for my fretting hand. The first time I thought about picking up a bass was the first time I heard Viridian...It's probably the best bass solo I've ever heard. Anyways, yeah, thanks for the advice, keep on rockin' bro.

@metallicacdc best of luck to you too,--in the vernacular common to my area--BAHD! (translation: bud) Viridian will prove to be one of his most impressive.
