Brings back fond memories when I grew up by Ishpeming. Can't wait to move back up there. I now live in Virginia and the snowfall here is............A JOKE!! If the forecast calls for 1 inch of snow everything gets cancelled. Every snowfall here is a "storm". It takes them almost a week just to clear out 3 inches of snow here and then they think they're so tough.lol People in the south are a bunch of pussies when it starts getting cold outside.

I moving to the UP next year. Despite the low employement rate. But no guts, no glory. what are the chances of getting a mining job or a job with a shipping company?

I love the snow & hope to be able to move to the UP someday. I heard that in some parts though it's like a 3 or 4 hr drive to the nearest Walmart, which has got to really suck in the wintertime though huh??

whoo hoo I was born in White Pine and my best memories are going up to Bergland for Christmas at my grandparents house. The UP is snow heaven!
