  • Totally cool with your garden! I can't wait to see how that comes along as the summer progresses! :) I think you are totally right about the bit of non-raw that a person eats... if it's good whole food, that beats snickers bars anyday! :) I haven't juice feasted yet, but am working towards it! Good point about having the resources, both financially and actually being able to purchase high quality produce. Working in the garden is excellent exercise!! :) Love the chickens!

  • @ShushLorraine What I mean is, if you eat 85% raw and allow 15% cooked, That would be, say out of 1,500 calories, that would be only 225 calories of cooked with 1275 of raw. That's a lot of raw and not much cooked.

  • WOOOW....what I would give to live in such BEAUTIFUL surroundings....thank u 4 sharing...;0)

  • Oh, and I so agree about finding that balance... I've come to the conclusion lately, too, that raw isn't necessarily the pathway to health if you're eating all raw junk foods and completely stressed about about being 100 percent... and conversely, you don't have to be all raw to reap the benefits, if the remaining percentage of your diet is healthier whole foods, not fried, sugary foods. :-)

  • Way to jump into gardening! I've been putting off any larger scale attempts for years... maybe soon! :-)

  • sister....I am so on the same page with where you are with all of this. Such helpful information...great wisdom.

I'm also so fired up about your garden! LOVE your property. You live in heaven.
