What Angel did... I can only hope that I will be such a person before I pass. To give up the only thing that keeps you linked to this Earth, it's impossible. He sacrificed what he loved so much... And for something that wasn't even sure. Not only did he give all of this up, but he kept living in hopes of something better. Whether he is just a character or not, I was touched and inspired to try harder and be a better person.

i have been listening alot of music lately and it is boring compared to this music. This music is magical and reaches into your heart.. it makes you think of alot that happens to you..it really captures you aswell..sorry i'm going overboard just cant help myself...BEAUTIFUL

Actually, though it's confusing, Spike DID go to get his soul back. Joss made it confusing to trick the audience into thinking it was about the chip, but it wasn't.
Not only did Spike mention it many times in S7 but also Joss himself has confirmed it.
Spike went to the demon trials to get his soul back.
