Papageno drinks some funky wine and has a wacky fantasy where he's surrounded by giant bird-women. Oh yeah and he sings a song about wanting a bird of his own. Get in line girls.

Nathan Gunn is Papageno in Mozart's Magic Flute.

  • Great acting, dancing, and mime from gorgeous Gunn--and of course his singing is purrrrrfect, plus a great speaking voice, this being a singspiel, predecessor to our musical comedies.

Watch the entire opera on DVD or PBS-TV, though. It is astonishingly creative and beautiful. And I loved the witty, sly translation. They did a good job with the Masonic symbolism, too.

  • Thanks for the great comment. I agree.

  • I love this guy so much!

"Blond and Bluging that is Papagano's wish"

    ahhh, pervert....

  • Talk to Mozart about it, lol.

  • 0:26-0:57: Did anyone notice that the handle on the prop bells wasn't turning until Nathun Gunn turned it on? He managed to do it without anyone noticing, he's good ^__^

  • You noticed. ;)

I've noticed the :26 but not the :57.

    Yes, he's not bad. ;)

  • sorry I'm an old fashioned stickler... and The Magic Flute should only be done in German... and it should be called Die Zauberflote.

  • I have 23 years old, and that was the most wonderfull thing I´ve ever seen in twenty-three years...

  • @Pretendkid Aww to bad....i like Papagano the Pervert...:)
