I just bought this engine in mid-October (2009). I spent a couple of weeks cleaning it up and repairing a few things, and got it started for a test start. I started it using a battery and coil, but then shifted over to the magneto to make sure it would run on the mag, and to make sure I got the mag properly timed. Works fine!

  • o and the guy that posted down below sit it up right and pour desil into the cylinder and after a bit you should be able to pound it out with a hammer and a block of wood

  • sounds like its running just alitlle lean just a bit but it could be just that exust havent really herd one with a straight pipe

  • Great Job!!! I just bought a '24 M in august and haven't had any luck getting it unstuck.... You got that thing poppin pretty good!!! I sure hope i can do the same!
