this is jess's strawberry roan miniature pony winkles, standing an incredible 9 hands high.

*EDIT: NO, i am NOT hurting this pony in any way shape or form, he's able to carry double my weight, and is not protesting because i'm too heavy for him, he just likes to have a bit of fun every now and then, so please do not comment and tell me i'm a bad person for riding him.

Winkles is broken in, he was just gelded late and this explains his actions. He has always been cheeky and no, this is not due to back problems, he wasn't ridden on very many occasions anyway. He just enjoys the occasional ride around the paddock. Trust me guys, this pony is perfectly happy, healthy and sound. I appreciate your concerns but what's done is done and no harm has been caused by it, and Winkles is as cheeky and happy as ever!

Wow, okay guys it has been a year and a half since I posted this video and I never thought it would attract this much attention! I think I should probably set a couple of things straight here as well. Regardless of what any of you may think, (and most of you guys ARE across the other side of the world!) I did not 'break' this pony's back. He is currently living out in a huge paddock with a bunch of other ponies enjoying life as his owner is in another state. (Continued)

yeah clearly ... poor animal. how do you think that ponies this size are broken in for smaller and younger children to ride safely? they need bigger riders who are more experienced to teach them not to fool around and to school them correctly. gugh! i hate people who are so "animal rights" but dont have a clue what theyre talking about. uneducated twats!
