Almost done! The final battle ends, and Windy tries to take the Soul Eater by force... Anyway, I really made a lot of modifications to Windy's speech, trying to clean up her logic. (Or rather, her lack thereof.)
I will soon embark on a project to re-do the entire radio drama and get it right this time, but I would love to have some feedback on what I should fix. All episodes will be receiving certain changes, and this episode in particular is slated down for extra fixes. The standard list is:
1) Standardize dialog boxes and put all text in the font from the game
2) Re-assemble the chopped-up episodes
3) Fix any and all animation problems in the early episodes (such as walk cycles, badly flickering candles, poorly grabbed graphics, etc.)
4) Fix any sound syncronization problems
5) Correct any problematic/incorrect dialog, and fill in any missing lines
6) Make Cleo's sprite the same colors as her dialog portrait
7) I am also contemplating adding the honorifics, and maybe going widescreen, so I'd love some feedback on those subjects, too, since I'm still unsure which would be the better way.
This episode's unique change is more of a poll than a change, per se. See, I crammed so many Stars of Destiny into Gremio's revival scene that I didn't have many left who needed to show up. Thus...Eikei ended up being shown fighting in the city about three or four times throughout the parts of this episode. If anyone can think of someone else they'd rather see instead of Eikei all the time, let me know, okay? Although, now that I think about it, that was just parts 1 and 3, wasn't it? Oh well...
If you can think of anything about this episode you'd like to see fixed other than those things, please let me know!
Seiyuu information:
Tir McDohl: Kenichi Suzumura
Gremio: Takehito Koyasu
Viktor: Katsuyuki Konishi
Flik: Yuuichi Nakamura
Barbarosa: Takashi Tanaka
Windy: Masako Sumitomo
As usual, I own nothing. DarthZack did the translation, and the sprites came from the Spriter's Resource, and it's all copyright Konami, makers of the greatest RPG series of all time: Suikoden!
Been watching nonstop, good stuff! Translation quality has improved greatly as has the animation!

@KAIBUTSU82 Ah, so that line *was* in the radio drama! Awesome; that's always been one of my favorite lines in the game. Thanks so much for all your corrections! They'll really help the updated versions! :)

I will be re-making all the episodes of the radio drama soon to fix the many problems that are bugging me about them. I've put a list in the notes of what I want to change. If you can spare the time, please take a look at the list, and then let me know if there's anything else you'd like to see fixed up in the new version. Thanks!

why is Gremio still in 3:06?
takerwwe3 8 months ago
@takerwwe3 You mean for the Soul Eater spell? It's that way in the game, so I did it that way here. They never really explain it, though. I've always taken Gremio's state post-revival to be like that of a Wu in 3x3 Eyes, but there isn't actually anything in the game to support that...

After he used the Soul Eater on Windy, it sounded like someone fell to the ground. Windy perhaps? Anyways awesome video as usual!

@DarthZack Yeah, I think it was supposed to be indicating that Windy collapsed after the spell. Unfortunately, there weren't any graphics of her collapsing. :( There weren't any of Tir falling to his knees from that angle, either, so I couldn't have him collapse as Flik mentioned he might during the battle, either. :( Well, maybe if I used his weakened combat sprite and deleted his staff....hmm...maybe that would work...
