@TheTelenation Yes, the Knights and also the 'god of the wired' both became aware of Lain and both tried 2 first study her, test her, convince her 2 follow them.. the 'god of the wired' then even became violent when other tactics failed - but the Knights and the god both failed 2 control Lain, instead their actions only helped her decide 2 choose a different path from them that lead her 2 the real God. Ultimately Lain becomes God's angel, watching over us in the wired.

@Mikanojo (not done from before) I thought then the Knights noticed her and her growing power and did the sae thing but with the other lain, creating a different version of her through the implantation of memories (lain does this too remeber? when she tries to fix everything). By creating False lain that got real lain, someone very powerful indeed, to get completely into the wired and break down what was left of it's barrier to the real world for their own greed, but I guess that back fired :/

@Mikanojo I love hearing how people take this series in different wats.

When I watched the series what i thought was that Lain was a life form created from the collective information of the wired, and was dicovered by the 'god' who killed himself and by doing that was able to enter the wired full form and started implanting fictional memories into the real world through a bluring barrier and thus was able to give lain a body and a true form.

@TheTelenation It does make us feel her humanity yes, and then it is even more disturbing when we realize that the Lain we meet at first and come 2 care 4 is virtual. When we meet the other Lain, that laughing, unpleasant girl is the REAL Lain.. remember how our Lain demands 2 know y she feels the other girl's body heat but not her own? The real Lain thinks meeting her self in the wired is a funny joke but our Lain is terrified as her identity, her family, her whole life is taken from her.

@Mikanojo Yeah I think stuffed animals are something to show she may be still be human, cause her pencil, pencil case, desk, keyring and windowsill all have teddy bears.

I think perhaps its a little shred of normal for the character, to show she may have or still is a child in a sense and thus human.
