Toxic Aluminum in Children's Medicines

Children's cough and cold medicines are among products that contain neurotoxic and carcinogenic additives such as aluminum-based dyes. On top of that, the active ingredients have proven to be so dangerous that Health Canada has issued a warning to parents, which is displayed in every pharmacy. Why are these things STILL on the shelves?
And as if that's not bad enough, we are surrounded with food and environmental sources of aluminum and other toxins as well. What can we do about it?

@MRBLACKPEARL04 Where did you see that announcement? Testing in the blood would be a bad way to go about it because a lot of these metals don't stay in the blood very long, they absorb into other tissues. The best way to test is with hair analysis, especially after a chelation challenge.

Aluminum contained in vaccines is similar to that found in a liter (about 32 fluid ounces) of infant formula. While infants receive about 4.4 mgs of aluminum in the first 6 months of life from vaccines, they receive more than that in their diet. Breast-fed infants ingest about 7 mgs, formula-fed infants ingest about 38 mgs, and infants who are fed soy formula ingest almost 117 mgs of aluminum during the same period.
