Using youtube's new yt3d:enable=true tag you can select a number if different viewing techniques including the use of anaglyphic 3d glasses, a mirror, or free viewing with either parallel or crossed eyes.

The cross eye method is my preferred choice as it is full colour, requires no extra equipment and has no size restrictions. It can be tricky to master but if you need a little help you could try and make a set of training glasses. You can download a free pattern from my web site:

The High Definiton button appears to be broken for now but here's a work around. Just add:
&hd=1
to the end of the URL.

Some 3D footage of the goings on at the second Glasgow Subway Festival right up to the moment i was thrown off the train for trying to steal the soul of an event organizer with my infernal camera.

The very excellent electro-band playing at the end of this vid are Nevada Base:

I wish I'd heard more of them on the day.

  • LOL Yea all stage managers were told by SPT that we had to question you or cheak for your press pass, if you were filming any part of the festival. Its due to the terror laws that we have in the country at the moment. Also The Subway Festival in Glasgow is the only LEGAL festival (performance) of its kind ,on public transport system, because of this we had to be on the look out for lots of things. Hope you enjoyed your day and we didnt spoil your fun too much!

  • Are you connected with the festival because the 'no filming because of terrorism' stuff is BS. I had NO contract with them and under UK law I can photograph anything I please with only a few exceptions like military bases.

I contacted the event organizers on the day and they asked me to email with details of the incident and I'm quite annoyed because they have still not responded. I'm not looking for a scalp.

  • I want the arts in Glasgow to be a success but harassing photographers illegally is not the way to do that. I want to HELP them put together a coherent policy on photography.. and frankly it DID spoil my day some what and caused me huge embarrassment and for that I think I deserve some kind of apology from them. Especially since their own OFFICIAL web site carries an INVITATION to photographers.

  • Is the a new type of entertainment called embarresment?

  • whats with that drunk wasteman

  • Cross-eye viewing (as well as parallel viewing) doesn't give as immersive a 3D effect as other methods, and it DOES halve the size of the image.

I have the Zalman Trimon monitor, which is far better -- and uses circular polarizatoin with horizontal interleaving, which YouTube's feature supports. And, of course, full color.

  • Big shout out to all the Amazing work of the Stage Managers that weekend, esspech to those in the actual subway system. Joy to work with you all.

Also to congrats DADA and SPT for a fab event!
