  • Hello I just bought the Dremel 4000 yesterday and I was looking at the Plunge Router attachment you can buy, I am a beginner at building guitars and I was wondering if the Plunge Router attachment would be capable of allowing me to cut out the pickup holes. The small router attachment it comes with is hard to use and likes to jump around a lot while carving out wood, Would you reccomend an actual full size plunge router? or the dremel one. Thanks!

  • @Delticola If your dremel is still under warrenty you can send it to dremel and they will fix it for free and if it is reparable they will send you a brand new dremel.

  • Yes, the dremel is a wonderful tool. I have 3 Dremel tools. One I got at close out for $25 new. I wore out my first dremel last summer using it to help me cut and repare sheet metal on my truck. The motor is not wore out, just the chuck.
