As I stood in my front yard here in Georgia watching this lunar eclipse, I suddenly got the feeling that I was actually standing sideways, sticking out from the side of the earth as it revolves while it rotates around the sun and the moon rotates around the earth. Which I always am, of course, but this made me really feel it.

this is caused by the earths main shadow it's shaped like a cone so when the earth passes into it the shadow acts like a lens so the light is foucused so it looks red, ussaly the moon is in a partial shadow and looks white and when going into the main one it lookes like it's going through it's phases in about a hour, it is awesome!!!!!!!
