This song is a traditional Irish ballad which makes me think of my Grandmothers.
The Photographs are of my Grandmothers, my Irish Grandmother and my Guyanese Grandmother who sadly are no longer with us.

My Dad used to sing this song, he would get so upset singing it and I suppose I didn't really understand why until I lost my Mam. Now I understand. My Mam and Dad were from Castleblaney too, and now they are buried in Oram where Big Tom is from...I believe they knew him. Its a small place. Lovely to hear this song again x
