Travis Orbin w/ Sky Eats Airplane (Part 4/7)

I had the chance to meet up with Travis before the show. I had a lesson with him and learned a great deal. He's a really nice guy and let me go backstage to record him playing. Tried my best to get all the footage of just him, but the fog somethimes blocks from seeing him. And yes, his cymbal is cracked at the bell

In beggining before they start, you can see Travis tuning his snare slightly. His die-cast hoop is actually crack and one tension rod is completely detached form the hoop, which means he has to tighten the adjacent tension rods even more.
Their's some really nice hi-hat work @ 3:10 and Zack even mimics some Travis' playing. Another kickass part is @ 5:00 with the cymbal chokes
And @ 6:15 i tried to get a slightly different angle by shooting lower and get a nice look at Zack's legs.

I really am greatly inspired by Travis. I want to quit work and drum full time so I can catch up. I guess I'd better win the drum off this year. :)
