Farzana Hassan's speech on the TDSB's divisive Mosqueteria policy.

This was given at a rally hosted by the Canadian Secular Alliance to protest faith based school funding, particularly the Catholic separate school system in Ontario, however they did not shy away from the issue of the TDSB's accomodation of Islam in our allegedly secular school system.

  • Typical N. American group think control freaks . It's public money!

If kids want to take time out in a specific school location to pray for any religious denomination-fine let them pray. Or even join at school any religious or political club.

Education is about teaching, learning and exchange of thoughts and ideas.

  • Oh, so suddenly the menstruating girls are sent to sit in a "dark, dingy corner". So how come the picture shows them sitting right there with the other girls who are praying? People like Farzana knows that in mosques thewomen sit behind the men, or some really new mosque, pray side by side, with a space / hall in the middle. Farzana, do you think the TDSB will suddenly CHANGE THAT PRACTICE?? It is up to the Muslim women in society to strive for equal rights. This is a totally different issue.
