dang i could not stay at a airport for that long but if it is a big airport you can just walk around and look what kind of shops they have and get some food and do whatever

Even if you went to the strip, it would be horrible just trying to get a taxi. You waste 2 hours finding a taxi, and then 1 hour clearing security coming back in. 6 hours, I guess you could do something. Public transit is the most reliable in Vegas - skip the taxis.
