That was the greatest show in tv history

@WWAHP No, Miss Ellie considered Ray her son & Donna to be her daughter-in-law (and introduced them as so to Clayton's sister Jessica). I always had a problem with how they just danced around Katherine murdering Bobby. Miss Ellie briefly references it here and Cliff talks a few seconds about it also. Pam simply dismissed the whole thing by saying "so much hate" then went about her life. I bet Pam was glad that she financially benefitted from yet ANOTHER Wentworth's death (controlled KW's stock).

@BarbaraFanDallas LOL I thought I was the only who thought that Pamela was Miss. Ellie's favorite daughter in law. Everybody else say it was Donna, even though she was Jock's daughter in law.

@BarbaraFanDallas - In the first few years, all of the women were pretty tough and diverse in their roles, with Sue Ellen taking the longest to find her inner strength. The writing and plot lines for the first two years were the best, and then the two after that. Once Jim Davis (Jock) died, that Paternal hold was gone, and then Bel Geddes left and so did the center, and strength of the show.) This scene is trying to recapture a spark, and it falls flat in comparison to years 1-4.

No coffe, no lunch? Drove all the way over for a two minute chat? Sheesh....bad writing.

I agree that season 1 is the best. I managed to buy the dvd and love watching it.
I loved that scene between Pam and Miss Ellie. Barbara Bel Geddes is an amazing actress. I hated that Bobby was gone. Thank GOD for the dream season. He came back. Jessie

Jessie, I also love this scene between Pam and Miss Ellie. I also hated that Bobby was gone. I am also glad that this season was made into a dream.

Donna0908, I agree that the first season of Dallas is the best season of Dallas. I LOVE DALLAS as well. I didn't care for the last 4 years of Dallas without Victoria Principal.

BarbaraFanDallas, IMO, Dallas was never the same after Pam/VP left the show. I have no desire to own the last 4 years of Dallas without VP on the show. Another one of my favorite Pam and Miss Ellie scenes takes place before the Oil Baron's Ball in season 8 in Pam's backyard.
