We're Dumptruck Butterlips, a country/folk/soul/bluegrass foursome from Lawrence, KS.

We formed the band about a year ago, performing for change on the streets. Since then, we've played at Harvest Festival, Wakarusa, and Electric Forest... and with bands like Beats Antique, Marchfourth Marching Band, Elephant Revival, String Cheese, and Bonobo!

A friend recently entered us in to the Texaco Country Showdown, a songwriting contest with a $100k grand prize. We didn't think we'd even win the 1st round, but we did! And then just kept on going through round 3. On Nov. 5, we've been invited to compete in the Southwest Regional Finals in New Mexico, which is the last stop before the National Finals in Nashville.

Your donation will help us fund 3 things:

1. Our trip to New Mexico to compete in the Texaco Country Showdown
2. Recording and pressing our first studio album, "The Sweet & Dirty EP"
3. Expenses for our first tour, "The Sweet & Dirty Tour"
