The media says that because for the last I don't know how many years, the GOP candidates who win in SC have gone on to secure the nomination for president. I think SC is the 1st Southern State to hold debates and the primaries, and the candidate who wins gets a lot of exposure throughout the region. Being that the South is still mostly conservative, the GOP candidate usually wins the South...which is why we are referred to as "The Solid South". But the younger voters are more progressive, and I

I'm from the south, born and bred, and I have a bone to pick with your city. The news media seems to think that as Charleston goes so goes the south. I'd like to say, Charleston and S. Carolina, do what they do, doesn't mean the rest of the South is doing it with them. There are some circumstances where you can make things a little uncomfortable for the rest of us. We love yeah,and sometimes we would like some love coming our way. Easy!

why the hell does a picture of A.W. Shucks and then the Crabhouse show up when it says fine dining. AW Shucks sucks and the Crabhouse isn't anything special. there are a ton of places that are so much better than those places. wow.
