@iGarthi .I understand how they got my account. That Is not my main complaint. My main complaint is that The Hotmail support team never actually does anything but send you a form letter and say they are working on it. it took 5 1/2 months and I had to explain to the Hotmail team why they could not help their own customers. The spammers were using hotmail own protocols against it.

In other words, Hotmail support ASSISTS spammers with no support.

@MrYoubrian If you signed up to malicious sites or advertisements and you used the same password that you have for your email account, and gave them your email address, that is how they got access to your account.

My hotmail was just attacked- they changed my password, got access to my contacts list of family, friends and customers and then sent everyone in my list an email that says I am in desperate need and I am in Europe and I need $2250 dollars immediately sent to me. Forums are full of hundreds of other windows live users with the same attacks as of July 30th, 2010. The Windows team says it was "down for maintenance" but they really got hacked and are to afraid to tell everyone.

Shame.

skydrive's 25gb is awesome Picasa's web albums only gives you 1gb that's practically worthless. I cant believe I'm saying good job Microsoft!
