Yeah, it was really disappointing.

I wonder what Obama does when all this hoopla is arranged, everyone's staring at him to see how much he loves it, and... It sucks. Forget about whether it's propaganda, it's awful. The writing, the direction, the acting. This show was no "Band of Brothers". The only time I've felt bad for Pres. Obama, having to sit thru this shit.

@agitcam I don't think Spielberg is making WWII movies and TV shows to spread propaganda. He just loves WWII.
Maybe the government saw that as an opportunity for propaganda. Just a thought.

Very good comment. Germany never wanted to be in a war after WW2... look what has come two Generations after that.

I'm really tired of people calling this series anti American. I'm not even American, but anyone that say's such a disgusting thing should be ashamed of themselves. You have no idea what these men went through, and to call Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg anti American, is like telling Eugene Sledge and Robert Leckie that they're anti American for writing the books on their memories. I personally really enjoyed this series, and not even being American myself, I'm thankful to all the veterans.

Tom Hanks the modern Bob Hope doing all he can do to promote American militarism.

America will return to peace and prosperity when all of the warmongers and their Hollywood minions run out of funding.

I am tired of using WWII as a propaganda tool of the warmongers of today to justify the wars of aggression in the Mid-East. American Imperialism can't be glossed over by wallowing in past military glories. Let's look at the wars of today. America has jets, field artillery, complex communications systems, drones, tanks, heavy machine guns, a huge navy. The Mid-East insurgents have small arms and home-made explosives and they have held off our forces for eight years. And in the end.....we lose.
I am really tired of regurgitating World War Two to wallow in past glories to try and justify the current wars of aggression and greed in the Mid-East. America's current wars and Imperialism are destroying this nation and the continuing use of propaganda about WWII isn't going to change the outcome.
