how do you download movies onto the Iriver?

Hello. You just connect it, wait till the connection 'purpose' (?) dialog shows up
on the player screen and select 'Power and data'. After that you should be able to mount it like you would do with any pendrive or external drive. If you're using a modern distro chances are it even gets mounted automagically*, drop me a line if you have any problems. I might be able to help.

Nice review. Which distro are you running? I had problems with an iRiver Clix on Ubuntu at first, so I am hoping mencoder will work a little better with the video on this. What did you use for music transfer? gnomad?

Hey there. I'm running debian and I usually transfer files to and from the device using simple cp (copy) from the console.
