This is the 45rpm single version of the song which features an alternate mix plus has the lyric "good times and riches, some bruises, some stitches" instead of the original lyric "good times and riches and son of a bitches." This 45rpm version is not available on CD so you have to seek out the original ABC Records 45 in order to buy it. The album cover is just there for to fill the video space. This was a #37 Hot 100 hit, a #11 Adult Contemporary hit and a #24 country hit in 1977. The B side of the single is "Landfall" which does appear on the album as pictured.

  • For any of you refuse to look for original vinyl, the only thing that can be done is if Universal were to remaster the album again (this would end up being the 3rd CD mastering of the whole album) and add this single as a bonus track, but often times, the sound quality of the remaster is inferior to the original CD release and the commonly available CD with the Compact Disc/Compact Price artwork is excellent sounding right from the master tape and very cheap to boot.

  • Jimmy hit #37 in Billboard, 11-5-77. Parrot heads unite! God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • I bought this cassette tape in 1977 working 3rd shift learning to become a Welder. I hour drive each way, and listenend to this cassette over & over & over. The tape also had a song I think it was buddy bear, learned the words & simple Guitar work. I played it at every party I went to. Never failed to get laid after playing song, Thanks Jimmy for releaseing it on that tape. Good ole days. Randy Barger

  • Bought the 8 track tape in June 1977 and played it over again all through the Summer of 1977 along with8 track tapes of JT by James Taylor,Night On The Town by Rod Stewart, and Moody Blue by Elvis Presley. Have the CD now and this album still sounds great after over 34 years.
