  • If you watched the movie then you understand that they dont mean the atoms act because they are being watched. They are being manipulated by the observers energy. Like they state over and over we(the observer) create reality all the time. This would certainly explain children seeing ghosts and learning to not see them later in life... try to think outside your small world bro. and until you have a degree in quantom mechanics go home and stop filling people with doubt based on ignorance.

  • To specify, if I've got this right, the point is that you cannot observe these things without interfering in some way. You can't just take a snapshot of the light coming off a single electron, you need to make a field for it to go through in order to measure it in any way. Or something like that. So in a sense, it only changes when observed.

It's certainly BS that the concept of someone looking changes anything, and that the electron "decided" anything.

  • No, I'm pretty sure rockon7777 is right. It's sad, how QM concepts are being taken out of context, misunderstood and popularized.

  • I watched "What the Bleep do we Know" and I watched this over and over but I still don't quite understand it. I get the concept but it's very perplexing. =/

  • What are you talking about? Its the whole basis of Quantum Mechanics. The particles only change WHEN OBSERVED!

  • on google video you can watch "war the bleep do we know" for free.... the whole first part

  • limewire, bittorrent u name it...

just search for "what the bleep do we know"

  • hey i want to wath this movie , how can i download

  • whhaaaa head explody

  • as metaphysical and profound as this idea may be, it does NOT conform to the ideas of quantum mechanics. electrons don't 'know' they're being observed, and everything in this video was right up until when they started fudging the facts to make it seem like electrons could tell when they are and are not being observed
