I used to be a network administrator in an office like that. I had to misfortune of dealing with a tangled mess of poorly configured servers handling a workload that was way bigger than they were designed for. The employees of this company were overworked, highly stressed, strung out on caffeine and all around grumpy. You almost have to be a hostage negotiator to calm these people down when something goes wrong.
