Bob is an Interior Designer, museum Director and philanthropist. And Levi? Well...he rules the roost.
I regret that I took so little footage this night. Most of the comments by touring guests were about the art, the pineapple chandelier over the dining table (not captured on tape) ...and the fact that the house was so light (opposed to typical dark Victorian homes on the tour). Bob lightened himself of his primitive collection and brought this white painted furniture to Ohio from an island home off the east coast. 'This house is like the town homes in Greenwich Village' he says. Thirty years ago when he worked as a designer in this Ohio historic district, he saved this home's old fireplaces with their crane cooking arms. After many years in New York City, where his home was also on a prestigious home tour, he returned to his Ohio roots and eventually settled into this house he brought back to life years before . Newspapers found in the attic dated to 1830.
It's great having Bob back in town; we took up where we left off over 30 years ago...*laughing*...except now I'm Aunty Liz to Levi.
