How To Make A Hydro Bolens Chain Drive

unfortunatly you can only easily make the Hydro tube frame bolens chain drive. We're still trying to figure out a way to make the Gear drive ones, that have the pullys between the clutch plates chain drive. It seems at the least, welding a steel sprocket onto cast iron is required... not the greatest thing. i'll make a video some time showing why it maybe almost impossible without a machine shop.

But yeah! if you have a tube frame bolens, with a hydro trans, and you are tired off the belts slipping in deep water (and i'm guessing we are probably the only idiots who actually take hydro bolens into water deep enough for that) then this is how you do it :) ANY questions at all, please ask :)

That be Grant. Hasn't been around in a while.

The chain idea was good in theory, but turns out they don't like to spin that fast. Went through a few chains pretty quick, extremely loud, and eventually stripped out the drive shaft... So in the end, it actually ruined this thing. and in the video, we don't even really test it. It would have done just as well with the 2 belts :)
