Droplet is a short film about a teenager (played by Andrew Strouthos) who is introduced to ice (crystal meth) by a friend and becomes addicted to it. Soon it starts affecting his relationships and his behaviour.

Droplet is my second short film (Rememb... was the first) and was a Top 10 finalist in the PlayNowActNow film competition (http://www.playnowactnow.net.au). The main team consisted of myself, Chris Allen and Andrew Strouthos.

It would have been a lot longer than 5 minutes, but the competition required that it be under 5 minutes in length.

Thanks!

  • extremely well done very real. thats happened to so many ppl but without the death part, ice is the worst drug in the world no 1 should ever take it EVER.

  • Pretty go job, the actor had that kinda voice that let the viewer feel bad for him. The message at the end felt to me as if it should be "Some times you learn from your mistakes, some times you don't get the chance to."

  • Hey Tom!

Nice job on the 'short'. Great start and end. It grabs you from the start. Very nice job!

    Keep it up.

  • Strong subject matter and some of the editing was really nice, especially for the ending. Lighting wasn't that great, it didn't really play a part of expressing anything happening in the shots. The middle all felt a bit overdone (like a community message) but the ending is really good, in fact the ending is great!

  • Wish it was a bit shorter. Felt like I was missing the point and wanted to move on to other videos, but stuck it out and very much liked the message you are presenting here. Thank you for sharing
