  • bring back the sound

  • James Young wrote a very nasty book- about a very sad time in her life. It should be read but not taken as gospel.

  • haunting

  • Merci buckets!

  • Sorry, but you´ve got it wrong.

On the original Lp release there is no indication of who plays the instruments, but the re-relesed CD Nico - The Frozen Borderline ( Marble Index & Desert Shore)names Nico on vocals and harmonium; all other instruments are played by John Cale (except trumpet on All That Is My Own). Those are the facts!

  • the music here was composed and played by nico. read the liner notes.

john cale wrote arrangements for the songs he played instruments on, but it's nico playing the harpsichord in this song - not cale.

  • The music here was actualyy composed and played by John Cale. The songs on the Marble Index & Desertshore were written by Nico and she plays harmonium, but the rest of the music was composed and played by Cale.

You can read it in the Nico biography by James Young: Songs They Never Play On The Radio, Nico - The Last Bohemian (1992), and also in the Frozen Borderline release.

  • if you listen the record very loud, very close you can hear her at 0:52 "j'irai..." and ari repeating "j'irai te visiter" well finishing the song
