Our first try on some riddims of the first reggae rhythm type, i.e. the style that came in in 1968. Examples here are "Liquidator"/"What Am I to Do" (1969) and "John Jones" (1968).

  • Where are you guys from?

  • We were based in Santa Barbara, CA, at that time. But now we are in separate places. Hopefully we can continue this project one day if we all end up there again in the next few years.

  • The bass can be heard through headphones :)

  • damn thats kind of close, i live in the san fernando valley area, i've been trying to start a ska/rocksteady band for 2 years now, and finally i've been getting a few practices in with random members, i'll post some vids whenever i get the chance to get your opinion cause this sounds old school, nice to see some people are still in touch with the 60's and 70's ska and reggae.
