"It is the job and duty of the federal government to make sure that each and every american has health coverage"
Man, I TOTALLY remember reading that in the constitution of the United States. HA.
We owe it to the founding fathers of our country to honor their wishes for the nation they fought, died, and killed for. They fought to create a nation where man is free from a central government's oversight.

A question for Michael Moore. Is his DGA(Director's Guild) health coverage the same in benefits as single payer?

If we could get the same health package that the Senate and Congress has that would only be fair to all americans! So all who are so concerned about the price there is a way to do it and you would never know...STOP these wars. get a National lottery! And please start using your heads. Our Jobs would come back. There is so much big money in to the pockets of our leaders from insurance companies, I don't think we will ever see true health care as our leaders have....FREE

If passed, not only could the $1.5 TRILLION federal government takeover of healthcare be the last straw to bankrupt our country, but it would also: End private health insurance by herding hardworking Americans into a government-sanctioned health insurance boondoggle;
Dramatically raise taxes by counting health benefits as income, or by forcing businesses and uninsured workers to pay for officially sanctioned insurance.

Yeah, too bad it's never going to happen in the U.S.
I was so unaware of this problem until I saw SiCKO... but I knew which pop-tart had the latest DUI. I read that the "free press" is wasted in America. I agree. This should be the top news story in the United States.

Providers worked for free when the budget had been exceeded. The system is totally top-down, with no responsiveness to demand. A government run single payer system MIGHT work well for certain basics, like well child visits and immunizations. It should NEVER become a monopoly on health care--which is exactly what it proposes to be!
