Monderman (4of10) - Drachten Intersection

Hans Monderman, Dutch traffic engineer, has been helping towns calm traffic for a couple decades. This is the first of two clips of a T intersection with no real signage, where peds, bikers and drivers all coexist peacefully. Occasional tire screeches, but no accidents for years.

Nope, you wouldn't, people often claim that but its all about design it uses universal rules of human behaviour. It's insane to watch though...it just works sooo well.

I've lived in the Netherlands for most of my life and I've spent some time in LA. In my experience, LA traffic is more polite than dutch traffic.
