  • basically no. while your seed crystal might be slightly impure - the bulk of the material wont contain the impurity. When compounds crystallize it is a sign of high purity

  • why do u heat every shit up? so unnecessary. most stuff decomposes on heating, esp with impuritys inside the sample. just add fucking hexane and dcm, evaporate the dmc, so the solution gets less polar, when its cloudy enuff u freeze the shit and bam here u go, massive crystals. wash it with hexane and u win. works almost every time.
