I'm using Debian Etch, kernel 2.6.18-3-686 and driver fglrx.(http://www.debian.org/index.it)

ever fixed a problem in safe mode? I have. I wouldnt call that a fresh install though.

If you where using linux only and one day was introduced to windows you would feel the same. Window don't have a suitable package manager or upgrader. If anything go wrong a fresh instsll is the only thing that will help and so on.

No, windows has way better programs and its user interface is easier to use.. to me at least. Windows is better than linux and Mac. My opinion, stated as a fact
