...Boom. Mike actually setup a show worthy of a premiere - this wasn't even that hard (the Jeep was a gimme in particular). And then Sharon and her group REALLY knew what they were doing.

Included at the end is an easy Double Prices setup (put in Contestant's Row position as the entire stage otherwise was still covered) and then one of 10 classic clips coming up this week (I'm assuming 2 a day like today). Check priceisright.com daily this week to see them all.

3X was a welcome surprise 6th, the first Big 3 to move out of 1st in a very long time, but as it was well overdue for a loss, the Porsche Boxster ($53,416) got as far as 53xxx. The player killed himself trying everything but the 1 in the 1st slot... I understand exhausting possibilities, but try pricing the car too, especially with these harder rules. Oh well, it was due as I said and the sting is virtually lost when you see this.

History I can come up with on the spot:
-$78,519 in a pricing game is clearly the most won by any non-Golden Road game (and maybe in the future if we're super lucky, Pay the Rent). Triple Play had a low 70s win once on the S30 Las Vegas show if I recall my Youtube adventures right, but definitely not close to 80. 3 Strikes caps out in the 50s even on primetime.
-First time 4 cars has ever been offered at once, anywhere.
-Racey gets justification to get played 1st for the first time ever. A stopdown was probably required somewhere to load the cars and the game in - so something special like this was needed as rational for the slotting.
-Don't recall any time when the tags were behind the curtain (also for a good reason here).

Let me know if you can think of more.

  • On January 2, 2012, Price Is Right will hold its first ever Celebrity Week, where Celebrities will join along with the Contestants to Come on Down. Stars like Ryan Stiles (Drew Carey's friend from his previous show Whose Line), Greg Proops, Wayne Brady, and much more will be featured and they'll be playing for charities and contestants will be playing for cash and prizes.

  • @pricefan87 Where did you hear those names? I've only heard Snoop Dogg, Jenny McCarthy and Neil Patrick Harris.

  • Dumb question here, but since when did they go back to the three strike chips on " three strikes " ?? I thought the whole idea was to only have one strike chip so that the contestant had a better shot of picking numbers for the car.

  • @ackpaintdude1 The new executive producer needs more losses to accommodate increases in average prize cost (especially SCs), so they reverted at the start of 38.

  • This would usually be Mike's (producer) worst nightmare, but I'm sure he'll "make up" for it later in the season.

  • @gamelover1949 He already built in making it up on this week, it feels like in some cases.

  • @Tesgorin plus, isn't it a FEDERAL CRIME to rig a game show?

  • Wait, I know, Showcase Showdown = Big Wheel LOL, can't believe I forgot that. I mean the big Showcase. I've always referred to it as the Big Wheel, and to think I've watched the show alot.

Still my point does stand, why is it we never see anyone who wins massively big make it all the way to the final Showcase?

  • You can take that $669, and SHOVE IT!

  • I wish they bring back DOUBLE DARE and make it 01 hour. more smile, same style, bring back the original set (but in the way people can feel it) and for the timer. Have it on the top pole and turn around when physical challenge is in progress but not the one they had for DD2K. I didnt like how it exploded when it hit 00. Plus, intro, mixers of double dare clips and teh COURSE- 08 course in 65 seconds. anyone agrees?

  • @sshuffield70 Ummmm, okay? I don't think I follow you. I was just saying I never saw anyone who won it massively huge in their own game make it all the way to the end. Maybe it has happened (in which case I take back what I said), I just never seen it. Basically, they would get out-spun at the Big Wheel, thus ending it for them at that point.

  • @StarFighters76 Better read that again......

Anyone...that means ANYONE who makes it on stage goes to the Showcase Showdown regardless of the outcome of their game. You're as bad as the stupid media writers who don't know squat about the show.

  • I wonder if she'd be willing to give the Yaris to me... :P

  • this is interesting, When A contestant wins a car they usually go NUTS. considering she won *4* cars ahe was pretty calm

  • battle2fever here, wow that was amazing a 4 cars in 13 seconds!

  • An EPIC Race Game...An EPIC WIN!! All in 13 seconds to win four cars worth over 78K!!
