  • Your tone and playing is perfect!

  • thank you, much appreciated

  • the song was frankenstein by edgar winter! damnit man!

  • Absolutely flat-out 100% wrong. There is absolutely no part of the song that comes anywhere close to what I played.

  • Furthermore there is no organ in that song either. It's played on an ARP synthesizer.

    You fail at music completely.

  • what is the song! MUST KNOW! at 0:30 !

  • it's my own composition

  • Heh heh! I remember producing practically exactly this sound on my SQ-2 back in the day fiddling around looking for sounds, what a great keyboard, brilliant in it's time. Thanks for the vid!

  • @rmenga Lol :)

  • @g00lipop - Nope...digital nastiness, but quite nice for its time. I have a SQ-2 (76-key/32-voice) and while filtered stuff sounds decent, something like a totally unfiltered sawtooth wave sounds tinny and 'artificial' compared to real analog. No filter resonance or OSC syncing either, but 3 waveforms (OSCs) per voice each w/ their own filters/envelopes and built-in effects are nice (and only $200-300 used now).

  • man, I would love to get that sound on my SQ1 Plus, could you msg me how to do it? Did you mod a preset?

  • Is the ENsoniq Sq1 analog?

  • lol, i bought an SQ1+ back in like '93-94 and i still use this piece as my main sequencer (i work fast as hell on it too)... got it midi'd to an asr-10 and computer w/ softsynths... never getting rid of it

  • Loved it! Is it a standard rock hammond sound for Ensoniq, or added on via memory card? 5 stars!

  • HEY Bassplayah, There once was a BAND by the name of DEEP PURPLE. I think that's where you became confused...
