Kicking the ribbon into the air, rolling, and then catching it! Hours upon hours upon hours of practice for those few seconds!

Anna Bessonova is the best! She's the one with the white leo and red ribbon... It's awesome when she actually kicks the stick and it flies towards the camera!

I might sound a little stupid but when those ladies do that with that ribbon it looks like magic that is floating around them it's really really nice all the work they do and it's worth it beautiful and amazing :)

it was still a decent job for a figure skater, no one expects it to be the same on ice. I'm not her biggest fan either but I thought she did a nice job incorporating the two

@ciaoskater Sasha Cohen was using a shorter ribbon than six metres. Also, I can't stand her skating.

@falloutboy1896 Yeah. because if you tried to roll around on the ice you'd either get frostbite, or slice a body part open with your blade. And it's physically impossible to do those pirouettes on the ice. Or kick a ribbon into the air. I'm surprised your coach lets you skate with a ribbon; mine won't because if you step on it accidentally, you're screwed. I did a skating routine with the ball once. It was fun :)

im a figure skater. we all do ribbon programs with those types of ribbons. and we dont do ANYTHING close to that.
