yea i launch right next to there. the problem with that area is there is a lot of foot and boat traffic through there regularly because of the refuge and the boat ramp right there. the water is a bit higher than what google maps is showing as well.. most of the bass being caught are on the south side of the lake way back in the trees. in about 2 feet of water. nearly impossible to get back there fwithout a push pole. im going back out at the end of the week to try again though..

I have a 14 foot Valco V-bottom boat with just an electric motor right now. Outboard is busted and can't afford to fix it. I catch a lot of bass in the ponds here but they're all dinks except for one was about 4lbs. Lowell is a very big lake and it's banks are hidden by thick trees. The bass love it but it's extremely hard to fish right now. People have to use push poles to get in the heavy cover to find the bass. I've spent 4 whole days on the lake in the last week with 0 fish.
