  • I believe it is the "Korean Symphony Orchestra".

Thank you for the kind comment.

In case others are wondering what you said, here is the translation: "Does anyone know what is the name of this orchestra? Kyung has considerable (noticeable) strength. Surely this is a Korean Orchestra... a very good one in fact. They capture the spirit of Western Music remarkably well."

  • Wow. never heard of this woman. But an exceptional brahms concerto. Her sec subject not my type . but she has stylistic ideas at 2:03 on powerful and Brahmsian . Whose cadenza is this?

  • ummm...I believe it was by F. Kreisler?

There is a brief bio of her on my channel. Please check it out.

  • God bless youtube.

  • I wouldn't know about the video quality and sound...and i've taken a couple of lessons with her @Oberlin (she's a wonderful teacher), and from what she's taught me about phrasing, it seems that she likes to enunciate little phrases every 3-4 bars (kind of like focusing on some of the slight subtle nuances of the piece rather than the long drawn out "stereotypical" phrasings considered with brahms)

  • Wonderful, I love this tempo for Brahms, it really captures the majesty amd depth/ Bravo Kyung Sun Lee,

  • That @ 1 and a half minutes of music following the cadenza is sublime. Gorgeous, soaring notes!
