@dedawen Imam Ghazali(ra), one of the most profound scholars, whose work is one of its kind was against Sufism, at first, but later he states that "The proper Islam is that of Sufis". He himself was a great Sufi!! Sufi is Ahle Baatin! Proper Islam is Zaahir + Baatin. :)

@dedawen Waqee bin Al Jarah(ra) is the one about whom all the Shayokh of fiqh state that he was they haven't seen anyone so learned in Hadith as him. Imam Bukhari(ra) states that there is none among scholars who had so many hadith in his heart as that of Al Jarah(ra). He is the teacher of the greatest Shayokh, and a greatest Sufi of his time. His book "Kitab Az'zuhd wr'Raqaaik" is one of its kind on Baatin, and core of Tassawaf(sufism)! :)
