Windsurfing Hero GoPro 5 Camera test forward loop, back loop attempts.

Here's my first road test with the hero gopro 5 camera on a cold january afternoon on the South Coast of England. The deck plate broke after a failled backloop on the first run, Thanks to Carl for bringing another one out to me!! 15 mins in that water was cold enough.

@Peterrabbit10 Thanks, nothing particularly special just me using a wave to gybe on and switching the sail first before the feet. I find when gybing on a wave I seem to throw the sail out wide for a couple of seconds while holding it 1 handed until I have turned the board a bit more, I then bring the sail back on the new side while keeping my weight centred on the board and without really moving my body, just moving my arms. At that point I switch / jump my feet while still on a broad reach.

Great video, how did you managed to mount the go pro on a helmet, I have a gath helmet. Thanks.

@eviltwinster Thanks, I used the helmet mounting strap that came with the go pro and then I drilled a few 4-5mm holes in the helmet so I could use cable ties to better secure the mount and reduce wabbling of the camera.

I'd also recommend tieing some strong fishing line or something around the hinge and then tie that directly to the helmet incase the camera comes adrift, I have since lost that one!!!!

Remember to hit the wave when you are going down wind and pull the rig across you then look back!
