This is such bullshit, 1) anyone who thought they could join the army infantry and NOT go to Iraq is a moron. 2) SSG Griffin was in my unit and im sure the fellow soldiers and himself would hate that this man speaks for him. You protesters make me fucking sick

Staff Sgt. Darrell Griffin was my uncle, and on behalf of my family, we would appreciate if people would keep his name and writings out of ANY and ALL protests. You need to get your facts straight and know that you upset his family by using his name in a protest. We are opposed to protests against the war and so was Staff Sgt. Darrell Griffin.

We criticise your protests because you give only a couple of stories and viewpoints from troops that support your ideas. I guarantee these viewpoints are a minority within the military. I have good friends serving in Iraq who constantly tell me how disheartening it is to watch the news and see nothing but bombs and death and no stories of all the good they are doing.
