Institute for Civic Leadership

The ICL was founded in 2001 with the mission of training the next generation of civic leaders to become active and engaged citizens, while building a culture of peace in local and global communities. To date, the ICL has inspired thousands of students and teachers in peace education and international understanding. Furthermore, the ICL has sent hundreds of students to build homes in Peru, construct schools in Kenya and India, clean rivers in Costa Rica, and rebuild communities in Sri Lanka. In 2009, we will be sending teams of students to Saudi Arabia and Tanzania to participate in similar, exciting projects. Please visit iclny.org to learn how you can help.
