From the Doors' LAST live show . This was at The Hollywood Bowl Los Angeles California on September 10th 1972 before they closed "The Doors" officially.

The Piano Bird is one of the songs from the second and last album of "The Doors" after Jim's dead, "Full Circle" from 1972. The pics of this video are from the Post-Morrison era (photos from shows, singles and album covers, etc.).

I added at the end of the song the intro for Light My Fire (the last song from that concert) where Ray says something intereseting: While introducing 'Light My Fire' Manzarek delivers what in retrospect could be considered a eulogy for the band......
"When we first started out there were four of us and one of the guys is missing now. I don't know whether you know that or not. But he met with a little unfortunate accident and he's not here right now. But he'll be back. He'll be back next time ...Ok, we wanna do this one for our JIMBO"...

(In part Ray was right, after that day, they returned with Jim ... in "An American Prayer").

Thanks to http://solodoorsianos.blogspot.com for this precious material ;)

  • @RayManzarekGod yes i think so

  • @mitjazz Ahh yeah... I never had any idea who it was, there's a second guitarist and a bassist too right?

  • @mitjazz Ahh! Thanks!

  • @RayManzarekGod i think it's charles lloyd - i know he recorded with them and played some live dates

  • @NASIMNASIM

    fuck off. just fuck off.

  • Maybe they were woking on Orange Count Suite at the time?!?

  • Ray's comment about Jim coming back next time at the end of the show, already trading on "the missing Morrison." I remember Ray doing that in the mid 80s during a Seattle radio interview about Alive She Cried or whatever he was plugging at the time, and he sounded like a guy who had a balloon payment on his condo coming due soon.

  • i love this song and this performance was great 2 they must have paid a fortune 4 that flautist sounds just like the album

  • @Mae77 The Doors were so good after Jim died thanks for the uploads.
